Located in the San Ysidro neighborhood of south San Diego, the recently renovated Vista Terrace Hills community sits on a 10.64-acre site near the Byer Boulevard bus corridor, shopping, and services, just north of the Mexican border. It was at risk of being
converted to market-rate housing when acquired by Eden Housing in 2015.
The property underwent an extensive renovation completed in 2018; to modernize the interiors of the apartments and communal areas, and to add green features that improve energy efficiency and water conservation.
On-site amenities include a community room, a fitness room, a tot lot, and barbeque/picnic areas. Five parks are within 4.5 miles including two National Wildlife Reserves and Otay Valley Regional Park. Neighborhood House Association provides on-site resident services and referrals including after-school programs, financial coaching
services, and social events.
